In the prelude to the parable of the Good Samaritan, Christ instructed an expert of the Law, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength and with all your mind." The instructor of the Law would have known from the Law book of Deuteronomy to "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your strength." Christ expanded on this for a reason - if we are to follow him we are to engage and grow our minds, just as we grow those other areas of our life. In addition to Sermons on Sunday, other training is offered in many areas within the community of PCC. Check back here for upcoming events and training activities that may very well challenge your heart, soul, strength and mind.
Starting October 3rd for 5 Mondays, 700-900pm: Holy Spirit Equipping Laboratory - Equipping people to hear the voice of God and flow in the ministry of the Holy Spirit. God is not just interested in our Sundays, or the first (or last) five minutes of our waking day. "All your heart & All your soul" - if either of them are still working then they are his! If thats the case, then shoudln't we expect to be guided by God in all facets of our life? In His Word, in the Spirit, in what we do and say - in how we act and how we pray. Dare we risk to acknowledge that God may want to effect change in our lives, and the lives of those around us - and if we do, we are going to need all His help we can get.
